I had intended to write a post about language, and in some ways it is, but not in the way I had in mind. This past week has seen some pretty traumatic events, but two stand out above others as being a direct result of language. Not the everyday communication we all use, but a different kind of language, one with its roots in fear and ignorance, the language of hate.
