Freelance Writer

In Bahrain, I wrote several articles for local publications as a freelance writer. This includes Around The World In Eighty Dishes, my own eighty-two week cooking feature in Weekender, a weekly lifestyle publication. I later published the compiled articles as the cookbook you see in the ‘My Books’ section on this site.
In August 2019, an online expat guide approached me to re-write a twenty-page guide for Bahrain. Although I could write some of this from personal experience, I undertook a considerable amount of research to make the guide as accurate and comprehensive as possible. The end result of this was the guide offering me a contract to write for their online magazine on a regular basis.
As an author and freelance writer, I ensure my writing is always well researched, detailed, on time, and everything is edited by the same person who edits my novels, Sue Noyes. In other words, everything is professionally produced to a high standard, requiring little or no editing from you.
I am always looking for new challenges: articles for print, electronic publication, reporting on local events, op-eds, ghostwriting, or whatever you have in mind, and all at competitive rates.
Although I prefer to write about places, people, wildlife, and food, I can equally turn my hand to reviews, technical reports, in-house magazines, and annual reports – in fact, anything that requires words.
I can adapt my ‘writer’s voice’ and style to suit whatever publication you represent or project you wish to undertake, or you can utilise my own brand of writing as you see in my posts and novels.
Please let me know your requirements via the contact form and we can discuss your current or future project in detail. No matter where you are in the world, I could well be the person you are seeking. I have a resume and portfolio on request.
